American cities collect trillions of tax dollars, year after year. Cities spend millions in new civic buildings. Museums, libraries, parks, roads, bridges, etc. How many public restrooms, shelters with showers for homeless Americans? We all pay plenty of taxes for the basic necessities. A safe place to sleep, showers, and toilet availability. ❤🇺🇸❤

My heart goes out to those whom drugs put them there. But at the same time Im tired of drug abuse being the only attention to homelessness. There are those doung drugs that dont become homeless. I am 63 yrs old living in my car with my beloved dog of 11 yrs and it is not drugs that got me there twice now on the west coast. Furst time loss of a job. Stolen inheritance and trust. Due procesd rights violated as i would have had just one of my mothers houses that title was free and clear. Researched, prepared and filed a TEDRA CASE and went under attack by bad ppl the second time once getting into an apartment once again with my neighborhood becoming unsafe for me. Went through severe identity theft, herrassment, theft, and cyber bullying until I left. Now living in my car again. All because i came back to the same town that my mother and her husband lived and died. Where my mothers homes are located and the ppl involved. This doesnt include the Pandemic at the same time durring this second go around. Its quiet a painful story that in which I would love to interview with anyone telling stories around homelessness. I would be on the media in a heartbeat. Greed is a horrible thing. I am a senior now with opportunities, dreams and hopes gone. All memories of my mother gone. Everything in her home. Gifts i bought her. Not w all pictures, years of them gone. I and her, her as a child, me as a child, and my own family of children growing up. Cleaning business i owned gone. Me my dog, my car and my 2 suitcases is all i have left. Drugs and alcohol i stay away from and read my Bible for emotional and mental strength to go on. I refuse to give these ppl anything to validate what they have done.

It is all about personal choices. I am not judgmental here, but if you have limited resources, why have nice nails? That can cost upwards of $50 every 2 weeks to have nice nails. This is the last thing you need to spend your money on... it is more of a want not need. It is all about your priorities in life. The first woman interviewed got her priorities skewed.
